Do you enforce a dress code at North Delta?

North Delta has a uniform-based dress code for children in kindergarten through 12th grade. Our uniform provider, Educational Outfitters, visits our school every year to provide parents with easy access to appropriate school clothing. We also operate a Uniform Exchange station in our front office. Our school uniform consists of khaki pants and hunter green or white polo shirts. Students may also purchase and wear North Delta spirit wear in place of solid colored polos. All outerwear must come from Educational Outfitters or the school spirit store.

On Mondays, all middle and high school students must wear chapel attire.

  • For boys, this includes an Oxford shirt and tie with long khaki pants and belt during cool weather and hunter green ND shirt with khaki shorts or pants and belt during warm weather. All shirts must be tucked in. Shorts may not be shorter than four inches above the crease of your child’s knee. Crew socks must be solid black, white, or dark grey.
  • For girls, this includes a green/white plaid skirt with a white, short-sleeve ND polo during warm weather and a white princess blouse during cool weather. All skirts may not be shorter than four inches above the crease of your child’s knee. Leggings or crew socks must be solid black, white, or dark grey.

On special occasions, school administration may call a “casual day.” On these days, students may wear blue jeans without holes or tattered hems and any North Delta shirt.

Girl hairstyles should be combed out of the face with bangs cut above the eyebrows. Boy hairstyles should be neatly groomed at all times, never touching the shirt collar or growing below the earlobe. Where appropriate, students must be cleanly shaven.

Students can access the Internet for homework and school-related research from our computer lab, library, and  (for middle and high school students) on their personal learning devices. We expect all students to behave responsibly on school computer networks.

How can I get more involved?

We strongly encourage your involvement. Please take the time to introduce yourself to your child’s teacher and let him or her know that you’re interested in getting involved. We also invite you to join our Parents Club and make your voice heard and to come to support our athletics events and fundraisers.
