Enid Lake
Just 12 miles south of Batesville, Enid Lake offers great spaces for picnicking, swimming, and camping. As part of George Payne Cossar State Park, patrons may rent cabins, play putt-putt and disc golf, and enjoy the visitor's center. 

Sardis Lake
Only 10 miles in the opposite direction (northeast of Batesville), Sardis Lake offers swimming beaches, fishing, campground sites, and recreational boating and skiing. As part of John Kyle State Park, you can also rent fully-furnished cabins for family reunions.

Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church
On March 19, 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke at Mt. Zion about the upcoming march on Washington. Every year on MLK day, a parade starts or ends at this little church in honor of him.

Batesville Mounds
Batesville Mounds is a Native American burial site dated between 500 BC and 1000 AD. It is part of the Mississippi Mound Trail and is located near highway 35. Batesville Mounds is open to the public.
