North Delta Athletics

Football Players in uniform carrying flags on field

At North Delta, we believe that participation in athletics widens the educational experience and makes school more enjoyable. In addition to strengthening physical skills, students learn valuable life skills including how to work on a team, ideals of fairness and sportsmanship, self-discipline and responsibility, and respect for authority and teammates.

Practice and School Attendance

All Green Wave athletes must attend school for a minimum of four periods to be eligible to participate in sports practices or games scheduled for that day. Unexcused absences on Fridays makes student-athletes ineligible to play Saturday games.

Our coaches expect all athletes to attend all regularly-scheduled practices, up to 2 ½ hours in duration. When academic and athletic obligations conflict, please contact your teacher, coach, and if necessary, the athletics director to determine the next steps.

Student may leave school early (missing academic classes) only once per week.
